Silva Beach Hotel - Hersonissos (Crete)

Chur, good place with heaps of choice for food, but the noise from the road was pretty annoying at night. The staff were super friendly though!

The large wide balcony was a bonus. Brasserie Leidseplein is short way from the hotel. We appreciated the sea view from the venue.

The room's design is very special and pretty, one of the most beautiful designs i've seen. we could park the car right next to out room. staff was helpful and delighted.

The gym consists of 4 trademills and is really poor. except for 1 meal at dinner, the food was just below average, i was expecting alot more, and if you are not AI (we were half board) you have to pay for drinks at dinner. both of the pools don't have enough tanning beds, and if you don't get up really early for breakfast (around 7 1/2), you can forget about finding a bed until late noon, because people keep their towels on the beds even when they leave for lunch (even though there is a placard that forbids it (but no one enforces it). overall the hotel wasn't that bad (as it might seem from my comment), but my main dissatisfaction is the value for money, i expected for ALOT more.

Couldn't recommend more for a couple of nights.

Tranquil atmosphere, good staff, ideally located near the beach promenade, each contributing to an enjoyable and stress-free stay with indulging in a variety of delicious food options at meals and relaxing by the well-maintained pools.

Very bad value for money very expensivefor no reason at all.there wasn't even a botle of watter in the fridge....too many tourists , no quality at all.we wanted to leave after the first night, they said that we still had to pay for the second night... I didn't expect booking to sugest that hotel.totally disappointed.we supposed that since it was for adults only, it would be quiet..but it wasn'T..party at the hotel bar for foreign groups till 24:00..

The location by the sea and our room had a good view of pool and sea.Liked having a balcony with table and chairs.The setting was good with all the plants and having 2 pools with plenty of sun loungers.Nice having a dvd player.

It was just a commendable fit for a day tour in Hersonissos with great value-to-price ratio. The porter helped us with our luggage and made everything smoother. Avoid poolside rooms if you're sensitive to noise.

Lovely design with 2 pools and everything very clean. Rooms very pleasant and nice stroll along seaside into the old port. Trips can be taken to other places of interest at extra cost. Staff generally very helpful and friendly. 20 min walk up to great little hill villages with views etc. Crete is super so take the chance to travel a bit - car hire easy to arrange.

Food is buffet style and not of the best quality. Can be smelly around rooms near kitchen. Tennis court poor and rackets old and worn as were balls although this was the only tired bit of the hotel. Town is not really worth visiting apart from port.

Gorgeous sea views and a friendly atmosphere. Loved the attentive staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic time.

Noise from the nearby bar and entertainment could disrupt sleep, especially for those in pool-facing rooms, while the salt water pool proved less than refreshing. Struggled with room cleanliness. Some days it was like housekeeping missed key areas, including bathrooms. Dining offered frequent inconsistencies, particularly in flavor, leaving many meals feeling bland rather than exciting.

Staying at the Silva complemented my adventures in Hersonissos. The vibrant outdoor dining offered fine views and delectable meals, providing a perfect end to my busy days exploring. While the noise from nearby entertainment could disrupt quiet moments, the pleasant staff and the comprehensive activity offerings kept my spirits high. Would be ideal for another round of explorations soon!

The ambience is so relaxed, and we loved the staff's friendliness. The food selection was fantastic, especially at the beach bar, and the pools were well-maintained. Make sure to explore nearby spots like the quaint coves and lively beaches. Don't miss breakfast. The combination of Greek flavors is awesome! Totally planning to return soon.

The hotel embodies a charming Cretan village atmosphere, with its pastel buildings and vibrant bougainvillea adding beauty to the surroundings. The cobbled paths make it easy for seniors like myself to stroll comfortably around the lovely gardens and pool areas.

Some sunbeds were reserved for long periods.

The location's great for exploring local shops and dining. Pool areas kept clean. Unfortunately, the evening entertainment quality was inconsistent and could use improvement. The tennis court facilities provided a fun way to pass the time. Would recommend for a relaxing stay, just manage expectations with the entertainment.
